Experience
Professional Timeline
Eight years across nuclear engineering, major infrastructure PMO, energy technology, and software architecture. Three countries. One consistent thread: building things that need to work reliably.
Red Eléctrica (Redeia Group)
Planning Engineer & Software Architect
- Sole developer and Product Owner of PlanningCRM — a full-stack SvelteKit web app with MySQL, used daily by 20 engineers to manage grid access and connection requests from external stakeholders; acted simultaneously as Scrum Master and developer across the full product lifecycle
- Active member of ENTSO-e’s TYNDP R&D subgroup: lead developer of IoSN Builder, an ETL pipeline delivering standardised network models for pan-European power system simulation across 40 TSOs and 36 countries
- Technical lead for Spain’s transmission grid planning (2025–2030 horizon), supervising junior engineers in Python development and defining code review and deployment standards
- Integrated AI tools (AWS Bedrock) into planning workflows, improving productivity across multiple planning stages
Elewit (Redeia Group)
Energy Technology Partner
- Worked as Energy Partner at Elewit’s Innovation LAB (one-year internal mobility within the Redeia group), managing innovation projects in System Operation and Asset Management, as well as evaluating emerging technology companies for strategic partnerships
- Managed Elewit’s AWS account: cost optimisation, resource tagging, and FinOps practices across the innovation portfolio
- Designed and developed Power BI dashboards providing visibility into the Innovation LAB’s project portfolio, enabling data-driven decision making
Results: Launched and led 3 new innovative projects focused on Big Data & AI applications in the energy sector.
Red Eléctrica (Redeia Group)
Planning Engineer & Full-Stack Developer
- Led financial consolidation for Spain’s 6.4B€ Transmission Grid Plan (H2026 horizon), coordinating investment data across multiple planning regions
- Designed and maintained MySQL and MongoDB databases for electrical asset management
- Led Power BI adoption across the planning department, designing the shared data model and running internal training
- Sole developer of PlanningManager — a Python/FastAPI backend with MySQL replacing business-critical VBA macros for electrical asset cost management (now maintained and extended by 2 other engineers)
- Led AWS cloud migration for the planning department’s tooling infrastructure
kShuttle
BI & EPM Consultant
- Developed turnkey solutions for enterprise data and resource management, specialising in Finance and Risk domains
- Designed financial planning models and KPI dashboards in in-house EPM platform
- Drove operational excellence through implementation of agile methodologies across client engagements
- Maintained holistic understanding of client requirements, ensuring solutions aligned with business objectives
Recognition: Key contributor to PRIOR — recognised as Schneider-Electric’s most innovative application of 2019.
EGIS
PMO — Budget & Cost Controller
- PMO (Oct 2017 – Dec 2018): Coordinated planning, cost control, and budget management for HPC-UK1220 — a 35M€ civil works contract within the Hinkley Point C nuclear construction programme (ICOSH consortium: EGIS, Tractebel, SETEC, CH2M)
- Budget & Cost Controller (Jan 2019 – Mar 2019): Promoted to manage budget control for HPC-UK1221 (+100M€ contract), including forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI monitoring solution development
- Monitored cost variance, forecast-to-completion, and earned value across complex multi-contractor packages; produced monthly reports for senior client EDF Energy
- Managed schedule integration in Primavera P6 across overlapping civil, mechanical, and electrical workstreams
- Led development of a comprehensive Power BI toolset for project monitoring and stakeholder reporting, managing an external subcontractor (Umanis) for implementation
EDF
Engineering Intern
- Conducted a techno-economic study of an innovative thermal treatment process for nuclear radioactive waste at EDF DP2D (La Défense)
- Assessed technical feasibility, estimated CAPEX (+100M€) and OPEX (+30M€), sized a 30–50 person industrial facility, and produced a full business plan
- Evaluated risk and opportunities, compared alternative technologies, and modelled lifecycle availability of waste to treat
- Drafted technical and financial reports in French for senior EDF engineering and strategy teams
Outcome: The study directly contributed to EDF signing a partnership with Veolia for nuclear waste treatment approximately one year after the internship.
ANDRA
Research Intern
- Researched improvements to the simulation of two-phase water transfer (heat and moisture diffusion in porous media) for radioactive waste disposal facilities
- Developed Python-based computational models to exploit the periodicity of boundary conditions (temperature, humidity) at multiple time scales, dramatically reducing problem complexity
- Reduced simulation runtime from over 10 days to under 1 day — a 10x+ speedup with no loss of accuracy
- Presented findings to the ANDRA scientific team as part of an École Polytechnique research placement
Recognition: Research Project Prize — Best Sustainable Energy Project (École Polytechnique, Sept 2016)
