Education
Academic Background
ETSII — Universidad Politécnica de Madrid
BSc Industrial Engineering, Energy Techniques specialisation
Five-year integrated engineering degree with final-year specialisation in energy systems and thermodynamics. Coursework covered fluid mechanics, heat transfer, electrical machines, structural analysis, and engineering project management. The energy specialisation included grid systems, renewable generation, and energy efficiency.
École Polytechnique
International Exchange — MSc 1, Mechanics & Energy
Competitive international exchange at one of France’s grandes écoles. Coursework in advanced mechanics, energy conversion systems, and nuclear physics. The research placement carried out during this year — optimising two-phase water transfer simulations for radioactive waste disposal at ANDRA — was awarded the Research Project Prize for Best Sustainable Energy Project by École Polytechnique (Sept 2016).
Université Paris-Saclay
MSc Nuclear Energy — Decommissioning & Waste Management
Specialised master’s programme focused on the back-end of the nuclear fuel cycle: reactor decommissioning strategies, radioactive waste classification and conditioning, geological disposal, and nuclear safety regulation (ASN framework). Industry-facing curriculum with courses delivered by practitioners from EDF, AREVA, CEA, and ANDRA. Fully funded by the Sciences & Enseignement Fellowship awarded by the EDF Foundation and Institut de France on the basis of academic merit. Completed alongside the EDF engineering internship at EDF’s nuclear division in Paris.
